A TABLE SET FOR YOU

Each week a group gathers at 4pm at Community Hall (65 Great North Road, Grey Lynn) to eat and together do some of the things Jesus did at the Table:

  • As Jesus sang at the Table, we usually sing together.

  • As Jesus shared many lessons at the Table, someone will have prepared a story, teaching or activity to share.

  • As Jesus’ hearers discussed His teachings and asked questions at the Table and so do we.

  • As Jesus prayed at the Table, we pray, breaking into groups and praying for each other.

So, we “open the doors and set the table.” You will arrive to afternoon tea and eating the meal together, including communion, is central to who we are. There is usually plenty of food but if you like, for your first visit you could bring some bread or your signature salad.

Everybody is welcome to share in our hapori, especially the Central Vineyard Gratis Community. We honour tangata whenua and include te reo Māori, whether in karakia, waiata or mihi.

Whoever you are: Welcome to our Table!
