“They all joined together constantly in prayer…” — Acts 1:14
As we head towards Pentecost, we have sensed a greater call to prayer because prayer is the work which creates the conditions for renewal—it’s how we cultivate hunger, expectation, and holy disruption. As Pete Greig says, “The hinge of history is the bended knee.” When we pray, we’re not just speaking to God; we’re aligning with His purposes and opening ourselves to the breaking in of His Kingdom.
So in the 10 days leading up to Pentecost, we're joining the 24-7 Prayer movement by setting up a round-the-clock Prayer Room in our Community Hall. It will be a creative and engaging space to help us all pray—young and old, the timid and the experienced. We’re inviting all of you as our church whānau to fill it with worship, intercession, stillness, and listening—carving out sacred time where heaven touches earth. We're offering this space to some of our other friends around the city too, a space open to all.
We’ll begin with a Worship Night on Thursday 29 May, opening the room and setting our hearts in motion. Then, for ten days, we’ll keep the flame burning—hour by hour, prayer by prayer.
Get your slot
We invite you to sign up for your slot—whether it’s at midday or midnight. The prayer room will be open for all hours of the 10 days, but it needs you in it to be a place of prayer. There’s something deeply formational about entering a room where others have prayed before you, joining a chain of faithfulness and expectancy.
You can sign up on the 24-7 Prayer signup tool for our prayer room, and all the details will be sent to you on how to arrive and use the prayer room.
Come. Pray. Seek. Expect.
