Mission Trip 2026:
Nacala, Mozambique
In November 2026, Central Vineyard will send our first global mission team to serve alongside The Liberty Project in Nacala, Mozambique.
This is a significant moment in the life of our church. At Central Vineyard, our vision is to pursue Jesus and join Him in the restoration of all things — in our neighbourhoods, across our city, throughout Aotearoa, and across the globe.
This trip is a practical expression of that vision. We are going to come alongside what Jesus is already doing through faithful people on the ground in Mozambique, and to serve, learn, pray, and be shaped by the global body of Christ.
About The Liberty Project
The Liberty Project is a Christian ministry working in Northern Mozambique with vulnerable and exploited women.
Their heart is to see women encounter the freedom, dignity and identity Jesus gives, while also being equipped through restorative care, discipleship, education, vocational training and employment pathways.
In 2026, The Liberty Project will be completing a new Community House in Nacala. This house a presence of further outreach, hospitality, discipleship, ministry in the local community, a community entrée for girls aged 8 to 16 and a move towards prevention of sex trafficking and abuse of young girls,
What will the team do?
Our Central Vineyard team will travel to Nacala to serve alongside The Liberty Project during the opening of the new Community House. The team will help run and facilitate local community events, serve the ministry team on the ground, and experience what ministry looks like in Northern Mozambique.
The heart of this trip is not to arrive as experts, but as learners and servants. We want to go with humility — ready to listen, help, pray, encourage, and bless what God is already doing.
Who is this trip for?
This trip will suit people who carry a passion for outreach, service and practical mission.
Participants will need to be:
servant-hearted
spiritually mature
flexible and adaptable
willing to roll up their sleeves and help with a wide variety of tasks
able to work well in a team
responsive to leadership
open to learning in a cross-cultural environment
prayerful and grounded when facing spiritual, emotional or cultural discomfort
This is not a tourist trip. It is both an exposure trip to learn from others, and a serving trip to contribute to the work already taking place.
Those who join the team will need to come with humility, resilience, openness, and a deep desire to bless what God is already doing in Mozambique.
